Lenovo has updated its Yoga Slim 7x for 2026 with Qualcomm's new Snapdragon X2 Elite processor, bringing an 18-core CPU to the thin and light 14-inch laptop. The device measures just 1.39 cm (0.55 inches) at its thinnest point and weighs 1.13 kg (2.49 lbs), making it one of the more portable Windows laptops with this level of performance.
The new 14-inch laptop can be configured with one of three OLED displays, including a top-tier 2.8K panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,100 nits peak brightness in HDR mode, matching the previous generation Yoga Slim 7x. The base configuration includes a 60 Hz, 1200p display with 400-nit brightness. Lenovo pairs the Snapdragon X2 Elite with up to 32GB LPDDR5X-9600 RAM and up to 2TB PCIe Gen4 SSD storage, while a 70Wh battery with Rapid Charge Boost powers the system.
For Linux users, Qualcomm engineers have been upstreaming X2 Elite support to the mainline kernel, with display driver patches landing for the platform in early 2026. The first-generation Yoga Slim 7x with X Elite has community porting efforts underway, including Ubuntu 24.10 Concept testing, though users report that touchpad, microphones, and battery monitoring remain non-functional. Linux support for the X2 Elite variant is expected to improve as kernel patches mature throughout 2026.
Connectivity includes three USB4 ports running at 40 Gbps with DisplayPort 1.4 Alt mode and Power Delivery 3.1, plus WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless. The laptop also features a 9 MP front camera and a four-speaker audio system.
Prices currently start at €1,160 (approximately $1,267) in the Eurozone, £1,000 (approximately $1,229) in the UK, and AUD 2,379 (approximately $1,485) with varying default configurations. Lenovo estimates that shipments should begin between 2026-03-23 and 2026-03-25 across the Eurozone and the UK, with an 8-week plus lead time in Australia. The company has not yet announced pricing or availability for North America.
