Four NVMe SSD slots, an 80 Gbps USB4 v2 uplink, and a built-in conferencing speaker might sound like three separate products, but Beelink has crammed all of it into a 9.9 x 9.9 x 9.8 cm (3.9 x 3.9 x 3.9 inch) cube. The EX Mate Pro is a docking station that connects to a laptop or mini PC over a single USB4 v2 cable, delivering up to 96W of power delivery while simultaneously providing storage expansion, display output, 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, and audio.
The standout feature is the four M.2 PCIe Gen4 x1 sockets, each supporting NVMe SSDs up to 8TB for a theoretical 32TB of directly attached storage. That makes the dock particularly appealing for anyone running a compact homelab or media server off a mini PC. Video output comes via HDMI at 4K 60Hz and a second USB4 v2 port, supporting up to two independent displays. That secondary USB4 v2 port also carries 15W of power delivery and can connect peripherals like an eGPU or Thunderbolt display, opening the door to desktop-class graphics on machines that would otherwise lack expansion options.
On the audio side, Beelink has integrated a quad-microphone array with a 5-meter pickup range, powered by an Alif Semi Balleto B1 AI noise-cancellation chip, alongside a built-in speaker that doubles as a Bluetooth audio device. Touch controls on top handle volume, mic mute, and Bluetooth mode switching. The rest of the I/O rounds out with a USB 3.0 Type-A port, a USB 2.0 Type-A port, and a 140W integrated power supply that handles both the dock and the connected host. Beelink says no special drivers or software are required, relying entirely on standard USB4 v2 protocols, which bodes well for Linux compatibility.
The EX Mate Pro is available now from Beelink's online store for $199 (€183) plus shipping, with the package including an 80 Gbps dual USB-C cable, an HDMI cable, and a portable storage bag.
