Ayaneo is gearing up to reveal its most powerful gaming handheld yet. The Next II will pack AMD's flagship Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, part of the Strix Halo family, paired with a 9-inch OLED display running at 2,400 x 1,504 pixels and 165 Hz. The company plans to share full details during a product event on 2025-11-29, but the core specifications are already shaping up to compete directly with the GPD Win 5 and OneXFly Apex.

The Ryzen AI Max+ 395 brings 16 Zen 5 cores with 32 threads alongside a Radeon 8060S integrated GPU featuring 40 RDNA 3.5 compute units. Early benchmarks suggest performance approaching a discrete RTX 4060, making this one of the most capable APUs ever put into a handheld form factor. Ayaneo is implementing a dual-fan cooling system to manage the thermal demands, a first for the company's portable lineup. The device will also feature Hall effect triggers, dual touchpads, and an oversized built-in battery.

The 9-inch display appears to be the same panel found in the RedMagic Astra tablet, giving the Next II a significantly larger screen than its predecessor, the 8.4-inch Kun. Expect configurations starting with 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage at minimum. Pricing and availability remain unconfirmed, but based on competing Strix Halo handhelds, the Next II will likely start around $1,500 (€1,380) with higher-end configurations pushing past $2,000 (€1,840).
