At just 10.9 x 10.5 mm (0.43 x 0.41 in) and 1.1 g (0.04 oz), the Moddo Pinch is small enough to disappear under a USB-C connector. The Canadian company claims it is the world's smallest commercially available 32-bit Arduino-compatible board, beating the previous record holder, the 8-bit ATTO, while packing a considerably more capable Microchip ATSAMD11D14A. That Arm Cortex-M0+ core runs at up to 48 MHz with 4 KB of SRAM and 16 KB of flash, 12 KB of which is available for sketches after the bootloader. The board exposes 12 GPIOs on a 1.27 mm pitch header, along with five analog inputs, 11 PWM channels, a DAC, I2C, SPI, and two UARTs.

The USB-C port handles power, CDC serial programming, and native HID, making the Pinch a practical starting point for custom keyboards, mice, or other input devices that need to fit into very tight enclosures. An onboard RGB LED and a combined reset/bootloader button round out the feature set. Board support files and variant definitions are published on GitHub, and programming works through the Arduino IDE by adding the Moddo SAMD boards package.

On Linux, the board's CDC serial interface is handled by the kernel's built-in cdc_acm module, so no additional drivers are needed and the board appears as /dev/ttyACMx. Users need their account in the dialout group (or equivalent udev rules) to access the port, which is standard for Arduino-class USB devices on Linux.

Because prototyping on a 1.27 mm pitch header is not exactly comfortable, Moddo offers a PCB kit that pairs the Pinch with a breakout board providing standard 2.54 mm through-hole headers. The kit is available for pre-order at $16 (€15), with shipping expected to begin in September 2026.
