Lenovo has unveiled the Yoga Slim 7i Ultra Aura Edition at MWC 2026, bringing Intel's latest Core Ultra Series 3 processors to a sub-kilogram ultraportable. The updated laptop marks a shift to Intel's first client chips built on the company's 18A process node, paired with AI-enhanced software features under the Aura Edition branding.
The laptop supports up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 processor with up to 12 Xe3-based graphics cores, up to 32 GB of LPDDR5x-9600 memory, and up to 2 TB of PCIe M.2 SSD storage. Its 14-inch PureSight Pro OLED display runs at 2.8K resolution (2880 x 1800) with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Lenovo rates peak brightness at up to 750 nits and cites coverage of 100% sRGB, 100% DCI-P3, and 99% Adobe RGB alongside Dolby Vision support and VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification. Audio comes from four 2 W speakers with Dolby Atmos and a four-microphone array, while a 5 MP IR camera includes an electronic privacy shutter.
Linux compatibility for the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition series has improved through early 2026, with the Arch Linux wiki documenting that most functionality works with kernel 6.15 and UEFI version NYCN69WW or later on the 15-inch variant. Intel's Xe3 graphics support appears largely ready in Linux 6.18 and Mesa 25.3 according to Phoronix reporting, though some hardware-level controls (fan management, keyboard backlight) remain tied to firmware rather than OS-level drivers. Lenovo does not officially support Linux on Yoga Slim models.
The chassis measures 13.9 mm (0.55 inches) at its thinnest point and weighs 1.19 kg (2.62 lbs). Power comes from a 75 Wh battery with support for Rapid Charge Express, which Lenovo says can deliver up to three hours of runtime from a 15-minute charge. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and three Thunderbolt 4 ports. The system ships with Windows 11.
Lenovo has not announced pricing or availability for the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition shown at MWC, though a related configuration announced at CES 2026 was estimated to start at $1,500 (€1,380) with availability expected from Q2 2026. The MWC version will be available in a Seashell finish.
