Lenovo has announced the ThinkPad L14 Gen 7 and ThinkPad L16 Gen 3, the latest refreshes to its budget-oriented enterprise laptop lineup. Both models will be available with a choice of AMD Ryzen AI 400 (codenamed Gorgon Point) or Intel Core Ultra Series 3 (Panther Lake) processors, a streamlined offering compared to the previous generation, which spread across four CPU platforms including Intel Arrow Lake-U, Intel Raptor Lake Refresh, AMD Hawk Point Refresh, and AMD Krackan Point.
The L series sits at the most affordable tier of the ThinkPad family while still meeting enterprise requirements. The new models carry over the same chassis and battery capacity from their predecessors, ranging from 46.5 to 57 Wh. One notable carryover is three USB-A ports, which has become a distinguishing trait among current ThinkPad models. Mobile connectivity comes via 4G, with 5G trimmed to keep costs in check.
The ThinkPad L14 Gen 7 features a 35.6 cm (14-inch) display, while the ThinkPad L16 Gen 3 moves up to a 40.6 cm (16-inch) screen with a numpad included. Both are expected to ship in mid May 2026, with pricing not yet announced.
