Geniatech has launched the DB3506, a 3.5-inch single-board computer built around the Rockchip RK3506 processor targeting industrial control, HMI systems, and IoT gateways. The board packs a tri-core Arm Cortex-A7 CPU alongside a Cortex-M0 real-time core, with configurable memory options ranging from 256 MB to 1 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 256 MB to 512 MB NAND flash storage.

Connectivity is where the DB3506 stands out from smaller RK3506 boards. It features dual 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet ports, dual-band WiFi with Bluetooth 5.0, and an optional 4G LTE module via mini PCIe. For industrial applications, the board provides CAN bus, RS-232/RS-485 serial interfaces, four UARTs, and a 30-pin GPIO header. Display output comes through HDMI and a 50-pin RGB interface supporting touchscreens up to 1280 x 1280 at 60 fps.

The board measures 14.6 x 10.2 cm (5.7 x 4.0 inches) and supports both commercial (0°C to 60°C / 32°F to 140°F) and industrial (-40°C to 85°C / -40°F to 185°F) temperature ranges. Geniatech provides Linux support through Yocto and Buildroot, and the RK3506 recently gained additional driver support in Linux 6.19 for I2C, pin control, clock, MIPI DSI PHY, and Ethernet. The DB3506 is available worldwide now, though pricing has not been announced.
